WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman David N. Cicilline (RI-01) today announced that Bridget Santos, a 23-year old Rhode Island resident who received coverage for hip replacement surgery through the Affordable Care Act, will join him in Washington later this month for President Trump’s State of the Union Address.
“I’m proud to be attending the State of the Union with Congressman Cicilline, who has been a strong champion for the Affordable Care Act. No American should ever have to worry about whether they can afford health care,” said Santos. “I know that I wouldn’t even be able to attend this year’s State of the Union without the critical benefits I’ve gotten through the Affordable Care Act. I hope my being there will remind every member of Congress that the American people have benefitted from this law.”
