WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representatives Jim Langevin (D-RI) and David N. Cicilline (D-RI) today announced that Rhode Island will receive over $1.47 million to help protect drivers on the state’s roadways.  These funds were awarded through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to support the state’s highway safety and data programs.

Federal funding for snow removal comes as severe winter weather continues to impact RI

WASHINGTON, DC - Rhode Island’s Congressional delegation today announced the state is receiving over $1 million in federal reimbursement funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to help with the cleanup costs from last year’s major snowstorm.  When winter storm Nemo hit Rhode Island last February, it dumped up to 2 feet of snow across the state and caused about 180,000 homes and businesses to lose power.
