Cicilline Statement on Roger Stone’s Arrest

Friday, January 25, 2019

WASHINGTON - Democratic Policy and Communications Committee (DPCC) Chair David N. Cicilline (RI-01) issued the following statement today:

“Robert Mueller’s investigation has now yielded 37 indictments or guilty pleas. This morning’s arrest of Roger Stone brings us one step closer to learning the full truth of Russia’s interference to benefit President Trump’s campaign in the 2016 election.”

“If the President cared about the damage these allegations are doing to our country, he would come clean and share everything he knows with the American people. Since he won’t do that, it’s critical that Special Counsel Mueller be allowed to complete his investigation free from any further political interference from the White House. The American people deserve to know whether the President’s campaign betrayed our country and colluded with a hostile foreign nation to win an election.”
