Cicilline Statement on State AGs Antitrust Investigation into Tech Industry

PAWTUCKET – House Antitrust Subcommittee Chair David N. Cicilline (RI-01) released the following statement today after reports that a bipartisan group of more than a dozen state attorneys general are preparing to launch an antitrust investigation of large technology companies:

 

“Big tech platforms aren’t going to regulate themselves. I’m pleased that several state attorneys general are now conducting their own investigation into the dominance of these firms. It’s critical that every level of government work together to ensure a competitive marketplace free from monopolies.”
