WASHINGTON, DC– Recently, U.S. Congressman Cicilline (D-RI) welcomed Faith Moses of Barrington, Rhode Island to the U.S. Capitol as part of Moses’ participation in the National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, DC.

Faith Moses, a rising senior at Barrington High School, was representing Rhode Island at the National Young Leaders Conference. Formally titled The Leaders of Tomorrow Meeting the Leaders of Today, the Conference is open to nominated students with demonstrated leadership potential and a history of academic achievement. The Conference aims to increase participants’ understanding of their roles in democracy. Outstanding students from across the nation participate in leadership training and decision-making simulations, as well as discuss and analyze top issues with policymakers and others on the inside of the policy process.

“Faith has accomplished a great deal in a short time and offers a valuable perspective on the issues confronting our nation,” said Congressman Cicilline. “I congratulate Faith on all her achievements thus far, and I hope more young people will follow her example of leadership and public service.”

During the school year, Faith Moses handles many commitments, including serving as a Page in the Rhode Island House of Representatives. As a talented student, Moses’ primary academic focuses are those of someone with a deep interest in public affairs: reading, writing, and history.  Moses also demonstrates dedication, leadership, and teamwork as an athlete and avid rower.
