Cicilline Announces New District Director

PAWTUCKET, RI– Today, U.S. Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI) is pleased to announce Chris Fierro, a resident of Woonsocket, as his new District Director.  Chris will be based in Cicilline’s Pawtucket office and will begin his new duties on Monday, August 15.

“I am pleased to announce that Chris Fierro will join my team as my District Director in our Pawtucket office,” said Cicilline. “Chris’s experience as a former State Representative will help ensure that our office continues to serve the people of the First Congressional district with the highest degree of experience and professionalism.”

As the District Director, Fierro will serve as the head of the district office and the main point of contact for district-related issues.

“I am excited to join Congressman Cicilline’s team,” Fierro said. “As our state and our nation face dire economic times and an unacceptably high unemployment levels, Congressman Cicilline’s leadership will prove invaluable in continuing the economic turnaround that we so desperately need.”

A former Rhode Island State Representative, Fierro holds a Masters Degree in Labor Studies and lives in Woonsocket with his wife and three children.

As a state representative, one of Fierro’s priorities involved environmental sustainability, working to protect the quality of our water and conserve our land in Rhode Island, among other issues. He was also a major proponent of policies that would help rebuild Rhode Island’s economy, specifically focusing on “green jobs,” and alternative energy sectors.

Congressman Ciclline’s main district office is located at 1070 Main Street, Suite 300 in Pawtucket Rhode Island.
