WASHINGTON, D.C. -- U.S. Congressman David N. Cicilline (D-RI) has a new assignment as a member of the influential House Judiciary Committee, his office announced Thursday. Cicilline called the new position "a deep honor."

"As a member of the House Judiciary Committee, I will be working on issues that are important to Rhode Island, like protecting the intellectual property of American entrepreneurs and innovators from piracy and patent infringement so that these new businesses can grow and create jobs," Cicilline said.
