Letter to the Editor:

One year ago, I was recovering from a medical issue which caused me to be hospitalized. While in the hospital, I lost my apartment and most of my possessions and important paperwork.

I needed to retrieve copies of important documents. I was having particular difficulty in getting my military paperwork, and decided to seek the assistance of Congressman Cicilline's office.

I was given an appointment within the week. I met with the congressman's staff and they presented as professional and caring. They asked me what they could do to help me. Within one month, I had my military paperwork and began to stabilize my living environment.

I now have my own apartment and I am seeking employment and educational opportunities in the community.

Thank you congressman, and many thanks to your staff for all of the help they provided me.

  • 10 hours 9 min ago If this bill comes to the House, I KNOW Democrats will vigorously oppose it and ensure Republicans are held ACCOUNTABLE for their actions.
  • 10 hours 19 min ago Millions of Americans SHOULD NOT have to give up their health care coverage just so the WEALTHIEST Americans can get a $600 BILLION tax cut.

  • 10 hours 28 min ago It will defund Planned Parenthood for a full year.
  • 10 hours 33 min ago It will cut Medicaid, which provides coverage for most Rhode Islanders in nursing homes, even more deeply than the House Republican bill.
