Cicilline Statement on FBI Confirming Obama Did Not Wiretap Trump Tower

PAWTUCKET –Democratic Policy and Communications Committee Co-Chair David N. Cicilline (D-RI), who serves on the House Judiciary Committee, issued the following statement today:


“President Trump lied when he Tweeted that President Obama wiretapped Trump Tower. This is yet another example of the President making false and misleading statements to the American people.


“This ongoing pattern of deception only further erodes public trust in President Trump. It is critical that he publicly apologize to President Obama. He should acknowledge his mistake. And then he should get off Twitter and get back to work for the American people.”
